We become like that which we love. If we love …

We become like that which we love. If we love what is base, we become base; but if we love what is noble, we become noble. // Blessed Fulton J. Sheen // there is something truly heroic to living an authentic life and vocation that does not conform to society, but instead conforms society to God // heroism can be found in the most simple places – we just have to be willing to be find little comfort in this life

How Catholics Can Welcome LGBT Believers
This is about defending ourselves, children, and future generation from a demonic ideology that says children do not need mothers and fathers. It denies human nature and wants to cut off entire generations from God.
The Cardinal said that while experiencing attraction to people of the same sex is not in itself sinful, same-sex relations are “gravely sinful and harmful to the well-being of those who partake in them.” The #LGBT community are owed this truth in charity.

Roma Day 16: today’s highlight hands down was spending the evening with Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke who joined us for dinner, a great discussion capped off with a Rosary. I am always amazed at how gracious and generous he is. He has been unfairly characterized by some, so please pray for him and the important ministry he does for the Church. Besides classes, we also went to a number of beautiful churches and found a film crew on our roof when we got home. Just another amazing day here in the Eternal City.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to all parents, priests, and especially to the successor of St. Peter, Pope Francis! Let’s keep him in our prayers. 🙏❤️🕊🇻🇦
O God, shepherd and ruler of all the faithful,
look favorably on your servant Francis,
whom you have set at the head of your Church as her shepherd;
Grant, we pray, that by word and example
he may be of service to those over whom he presides
so that, together with the flock entrusted to his care,
he may come to everlasting life.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the
unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Physician-assisted suicide is part of a “throw…

Physician-assisted suicide is part of a “throwaway culture” that offers a “false compassion” and treats a human person as a problem, Pope Francis told medical leaders.
“True compassion does not marginalize anyone, nor does it humiliate and exclude – much less considers the disappearance of a person as a good thing,” the Pope said. He criticized “those who hide behind an alleged compassion to justify and approve the death of a patient.”
Compassion is a necessary part of the medical profession, Pope Francis stressed.
“The dignity of human life is at stake. The dignity of the medical vocation is at stake.”
Pope Francis reflected on the theological aspects of health and medicine. In the biblical tradition, there is a close link between health and salvation.
“The Fathers of the Church used to refer to Christ and His work of salvation with the title ‘Christus Medicus’ (Christ the Doctor),” the Pope explained. “He is the Good Shepherd who cares for the wounded sheep and comforts the sick. He is the Good Samaritan who does not pass by the injured person at the roadside, but rather, moved by compassion, cures and attends to him.”
The Pope added he likes to bless doctors’ hands as a sign to recognize “this compassion that becomes the caress of health.”

“The whole priestly ministry of Padre Pio was …

“The whole priestly ministry of Padre Pio was lived in sacramental union with the crucified Christ,” he said. “It was as if the Lord said to him, ‘You’re not just a priest, you’re also a victim like me.’”
Dear God, You generously blessed Your servant,
St. Pio of Pietrelcina,
with the gifts of the Spirit.
You marked his body with the five wounds
of Christ Crucified, as a powerful witness
to the saving Passion and Death of Your Son.
Endowed with the gift of discernment,
St. Pio labored endlessly in the confessional
for the salvation of souls.
With reverence and intense devotion
in the celebration of Mass,
he invited countless men and women
to a greater union with Jesus Christ
in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.

Through the intercession of St. Pio of Pietrelcina,
I confidently beseech You to grant me
the grace of (here state your petition).

Glory be to the Father… (three times). Amen.

Congratulations to our great friend @fathercap…

Congratulations to our great friend @fathercapo for being appointed by our Holy Father. Please keep Father Capo, the Missionaries of Mercy, and our Holy Father in your prayers.
“There is no misery that could be a match for My mercy, neither will misery exhaust it, because as it is being granted-it increases. The soul that trusts in My mercy is most fortunate, because I myself take care of it.” -St. Faustina’s Diary
Message from @fathercapo:
It is with great joy and gratitude to His Holiness Pope Francis that I received his appointment as a Missionary of Mercy. As all Missionaries of Mercy have been summoned by the Holy Father to meet with him this coming week in Rome for days of reflection, I thank the Lord for this commissioning to share the joy of the Gospel and the message of mercy through my apostolate in the Church of Southeast USA and the priestly ministry of confession. I will appreciate your prayers during the coming days, as we gather with Pope Francis before being sent out again to share the message of Divine Mercy.

This was the last post shared by @br.anthonyfreeman, he was about to be my first friend that I met before officially becoming a Priest. His ordination was supposed to be this Summer and I was so happy to go although God had different plans for you Brother. I’ll never forget our long conversations about life, your book and all the little edits we made, and the Church. Ohh how I’ll miss you.. You were always so happy and devoted to helping our Church, pray for us brother!🙏
Eternal rest grant to him, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Below was his last post shared:
“Christ is Risen Alleluia!
After an 8 day silent retreat I was blessed to meet Pope Francis today and serve the Easter mass!
This photo during the practice will have to suffice since the official Vatican photos aren’t out yet…
Thank you so much for your prayers during my retreat! Literally this past week of intense silence not to mention the past 48 hours have been very special moments with God and also with others. The joy and sadness and hope of life are sometimes condensed in small moments, this was one for me and spiritually this moment of the Passion and Resurrection of our Lord is what gives these moments its fullest meaning and expression!
Easter Blessings!👋”

“And here the first word that I wish to say to you: joy! Do not be men and women of sadness: a Christian can never be sad! Never give way to discouragement! Ours is not a joy born of having many possessions, but of having encountered a Person: Jesus, in our midst.” —Pope Francis
