Congratulations to our great friend @fathercapo for being appointed by our Holy Father. Please keep Father Capo, the Missionaries of Mercy, and our Holy Father in your prayers.
“There is no misery that could be a match for My mercy, neither will misery exhaust it, because as it is being granted-it increases. The soul that trusts in My mercy is most fortunate, because I myself take care of it.” -St. Faustina’s Diary
Message from @fathercapo:
It is with great joy and gratitude to His Holiness Pope Francis that I received his appointment as a Missionary of Mercy. As all Missionaries of Mercy have been summoned by the Holy Father to meet with him this coming week in Rome for days of reflection, I thank the Lord for this commissioning to share the joy of the Gospel and the message of mercy through my apostolate in the Church of Southeast USA and the priestly ministry of confession. I will appreciate your prayers during the coming days, as we gather with Pope Francis before being sent out again to share the message of Divine Mercy.

“Do you wish to know if the people of any place are righteous? Look what sort of a pastor they have. If you find him pious, just, sound, believe the people will be the same, for they are seasoned with the salt of his wisdom.” –St. John Chrysostom

“Having the faith does not mean having no difficulties, but having the strength to face them knowing that we are not alone.” – Pope Francis
Fr. Michael Sliney is a spiritual director for many souls in Manhattan. Not only does he give solid advice but he accompanies his directees in the mission.
Last week, he and two businessmen invited two homeless men for a lunch at KFC. Afterwards, one of the businessmen told father later that his heart had melted hearing the faith-filled stories of these men.
How could you put your faith into action today?
God bless you!

“My director, Jesus, does not teach me to count my acts, but to do everything for love, to refuse Him nothing, to be pleased when He gives me a chance to prove to Him that I love Him – but all this in peace – in abandonment.” —St. Therese of Lisieux in a letter to Celine

“A priest is one who makes Christ visible. The people see Christ in the saintly priests and they seek even to touch his robes as they did the robes of Christ. Children come to him without fear; non-Catholics give to them a reverence which they rarely give to others. The sure measure by which a priest draws souls to Christ is also the means by which he can drive souls from Christ.” —Those Mysterious Priests

“It is more important to be faithful than to be successful.” –St. Mother Teresa.
By contemplating death, we focus our minds on how better to live, so that when the moment comes–as it does for all of us–we need not be afraid or ashamed of our nakedness in the sight of God as our first parents were in the rebellion of original sin which brought death into the world. As the ancient saying commands us, memento mori, remember that you must die. How we live our lives will determine whether we will join with the saints in the victory of Christ over death. Indeed, the saints are excellent examples for us of how to live–and how to die–with grace.
