“And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake [it], and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup [is] the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.”

“As I sat with Andrew this morning, watching him sleeping while recovering from his surgery, I was overcome by a wide range of emotions. He was, for a few minutes, the two-year-old I took to the hospital for stitches on Christmas Day when he cut his forehead. Then he was my high school senior who split his chin during the championship match at a wrestling tournament and I had to take to the ER for stitches. Then he was my son, now a man, who with great courage and a lot of grace, came back from the edge of death and while still working so get back to 100%, contains the strength, hope, and love that have made me a proud father for the past 24 years. I am so very grateful for him and for all my children. I am blessed with a wonderful friend and lover who has been so strong through this journey. And I have been supported by the prayers of so many of you. If I never make another penny in this world, I will die a very rich man. Thank you everyone. May you be filled with the same joy I am feeling right now.”

#sundaythoughts 💡Perhaps there will be a time when someone will ask you, “Why do you sit in silence?” The answer will come, not from a book, but from the depths of your heart. “I sit in silence because God is in love with me, and by spending time with Him in silence, I am falling more in love with God (Fr. Jeremiah Shryock, CFR)
Sometimes silence & prayer are the best answers 🕊
Have you ever heard the wonderful silence just before the dawn? Or the quiet and calm just as a storm ends? Or perhaps you know the silence when you haven’t the answer to a question you’ve been asked, or the hush of a country road at night, or the expectant pause of a room full of people when someone is just about to speak, or, most beautiful of all, the moment after the door closes and you’re alone in the whole house? Each one is different, you know, and all very beautiful if you listen carefully (norton juster)

Thank God in everything you do!
Learn, too, to be grateful. May all the wealth of Christ’s inspiration have its shrine among you; now you will have instruction and advice for one another, full of wisdom, now there will be psalms, and hymns, and spiritual music, as you sing with gratitude in your hearts to God. Whatever you are about, in word and action alike, invoke always the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, offering your thanks to God the Father through Him.

Congratulations to our great friend @fathercapo for being appointed by our Holy Father. Please keep Father Capo, the Missionaries of Mercy, and our Holy Father in your prayers.
“There is no misery that could be a match for My mercy, neither will misery exhaust it, because as it is being granted-it increases. The soul that trusts in My mercy is most fortunate, because I myself take care of it.” -St. Faustina’s Diary
Message from @fathercapo:
It is with great joy and gratitude to His Holiness Pope Francis that I received his appointment as a Missionary of Mercy. As all Missionaries of Mercy have been summoned by the Holy Father to meet with him this coming week in Rome for days of reflection, I thank the Lord for this commissioning to share the joy of the Gospel and the message of mercy through my apostolate in the Church of Southeast USA and the priestly ministry of confession. I will appreciate your prayers during the coming days, as we gather with Pope Francis before being sent out again to share the message of Divine Mercy.
